How to apply online, step by step
The entire process is digital — no paperwork counters, no agents, no fees. Thirty careful minutes on the official portal, with the right documents prepared, is all it takes.
Open the correct official portal
Students apply at bikes.punjab.gov.pk; teachers at ptf.punjab.gov.pk. These are the only two legitimate portals. Any other site claiming to process applications is a scam — never enter your CNIC or pay a fee elsewhere.
Create your account
Register with your CNIC number and a mobile number whose SIM is registered against your own CNIC. You'll receive a one-time password (OTP) by SMS — enter it to activate the account.
Complete the application form
Students enter personal details, institution name, enrollment number, city of study and bike preference. Teachers enter school name, district, designation and PESS number. Double-check the institution name — selecting the wrong one is a common, fatal mistake.
Upload your documents
Scan every document in good light and check readability before uploading. Blurry uploads are the single most common rejection reason at verification. The full checklist is below.
Wait for BOP verification
The Bank of Punjab confirms your enrollment or employment with your institution, checks your guarantor's ECIB credit report, and reviews financial eligibility. No action is needed from you at this stage.
PITB e-balloting
Verified applications enter the computerized random draw, run within quotas for gender, region, disability and minorities. Results arrive by SMS and email and are published on the portal.
Sign, pay and collect
If selected, BOP assigns your bike through an authorized dealer. Sign the financing agreement, pay your share of the down payment, and take delivery with first-year insurance active. Ownership transfers after the final installment (typically 24 months).

Physical verification is not optional:a BOP representative visits the guarantor's home. If the address doesn't match the utility bill or the guarantor can't be reached, the bike is not issued — even after a winning ballot.

Questions about applying
Is there any application fee?
No. Applying is completely free on the official portals. Anyone demanding a fee — an 'agent', a website, or someone promising guaranteed selection — is running a scam. Report and avoid them.
What if my mobile SIM is not registered on my own CNIC?
Registration requires an OTP sent to a SIM registered against your own CNIC. Visit your mobile operator's franchise to transfer or register a SIM in your name before applying — it takes a few minutes with biometric verification.
Can I edit my application after submitting?
Bike-model changes are allowed until the announced deadline; after that, choices are locked. Errors in critical fields like CNIC or institution generally cannot be corrected mid-phase, so review everything before final submission and save a screenshot of your application ID.
How long does verification take?
There is no fixed public timeline. Verification runs between the portal closing date and the ballot, typically several weeks. Track status on the portal and keep your registered mobile active — updates arrive by SMS.
What happens if I win the ballot but fail bank verification?
The bike is not issued — this is the stage that eliminates the most selected candidates. Common failures are a guarantor's dirty credit report, a failed home visit, or an unverifiable enrollment. You can reapply in the next phase with corrected documents or a different guarantor.
