There are exactly three official portals for Pakistan's government e-bike schemes. Anything else is unofficial.

All official schemes are free to apply. A fee request — for registration, processing, token money or anything else — is the clearest sign of fraud.

Official government portals use .gov.pk. Any other domain (e.g., .com, .net, .org, .pk alone) is not a government portal, no matter how official it looks.

Pressures you to act quickly
"Last 200 slots remaining!" or "Apply in the next 2 hours!" are manufactured urgency tactics to stop you thinking critically.

Asks for OTP or bank details
Official portals never ask for your online banking credentials, ATM PIN, or OTP sent to your phone for any purpose other than login verification on the portal itself.

Shares results before the official announcement
If a site or message claims to show ballot results before the official announcement on bikes.punjab.gov.pk, it is fabricated.

Asks you to WhatsApp a number
Applications do not go through WhatsApp. Any group or number directing you to apply or pay through WhatsApp is running a scam.

How e-bike scheme scams work in Pakistan
Fake registration websites
Fraudsters create websites that look almost identical to bikes.punjab.gov.pk or ptf.punjab.gov.pk — same logo, same color scheme, almost the same domain name (e.g., 'bikes-punjab.gov.pk.com'). They collect your CNIC, personal data and payment, then disappear.
Fake ballot result SMS messages
You receive an SMS: 'Congratulations! You have been selected in the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme. Click [link] to confirm and pay a Rs 500 processing fee.' The link goes to a fake portal. Legitimate SMS messages never include payment links.
WhatsApp groups and agents
WhatsApp groups claiming to be 'official CM Scheme helpers' offer to submit applications for a fee. They have no connection to the government. Your money is gone and your personal data is compromised.
Fake Facebook/YouTube channels
Social media accounts with thousands of followers (sometimes bought) post application guides with links to scam portals. They may use real government logos and official-looking video thumbnails. Always verify the domain before entering any data.
Advance fee fraud
A caller says you have been selected but must pay an advance delivery fee, registration charge, or verification fee to receive your bike. The government never charges applicants after selection — any such call is fraud.
