Collection Day
What to expect when you collect your e-bike from the dealer
Bring your BOP approval letter and CNIC
The dealer needs both to hand over the bike. Do not go without them.
Inspect the bike before signing the receipt
Check: battery charge indicator, tyre pressure, all lights working, brakes firm, no visible damage. Sign only when you are satisfied.
You receive the following items
E-bike (with registration plate), full-face helmet, rear safety rod, owner's manual, warranty card, insurance documents.
Note your training date and venue
The collection receipt includes your 2-day training date. Attendance is mandatory — it is not optional.
Do not attempt to ride home alone if untrained
If you have never ridden a motorcycle, wait for the training session. Bring someone with a licence to ride it home for you if needed.
If Not Selected
What to do if you were not selected in the Punjab e-bike ballot
Stay registered for future phases
Your application stays in the PITB database. The Punjab government runs multiple phases — scheme bikes are distributed in batches. Unselected applicants from earlier ballots are included in subsequent rounds without reapplying.
Apply for PAVE Phase 2 — federal scheme
PAVE Phase 2 offers Rs 80,000 subsidy on e-motorcycles nationwide. It is first-come-first-served — no ballot. If you missed the Punjab ballot, you can apply for PAVE independently.
PAVE Phase 2 guideCheck if you qualify for the Govt Employee scheme
If you work in Punjab government (BPS 1–16), a separate e-bike scheme opened July 1, 2026. It is separate from the student scheme.

Even without a subsidised bike, switching to a market-price e-bike from a petrol 70cc saves PKR 3,800/month at current petrol prices (PKR 342.79/L). At that saving rate, a Rs 150,000 e-bike pays for itself in under 4 years.

After the ballot — FAQs
How long do I have to respond after being selected in the Punjab e-bike ballot?
You typically have 14 days from the SMS notification to visit your Bank of Punjab branch for loan verification. If you do not respond within the given window, your slot may be cancelled and reallocated to the next applicant. Check your SMS carefully — it states the exact deadline for your branch visit.
Which Bank of Punjab branch should I visit for e-bike loan verification?
Your approval SMS and portal notification will specify the Bank of Punjab branch assigned to your area. In most cases it is the nearest BOP branch to your stated address. Bring all original documents — do not just bring photocopies.
Can someone else go to Bank of Punjab on my behalf for e-bike scheme verification?
No. The loan agreement must be signed in person by the applicant. The bank verifies your identity against your CNIC. You cannot send a parent, sibling or agent in your place for this step.
What if I was not selected in the Punjab e-bike ballot?
If you were not selected in this ballot, your application remains active in the PITB system. When additional bikes become available (future phases, returned bikes, or expanded quota), registered but unselected applicants are considered. You do not need to reapply from scratch. You can also check the PAVE Phase 2 federal scheme, which offers Rs 80,000 subsidy on e-motorcycles with a first-come-first-served system.
Can I choose which e-bike model I receive?
No. The Punjab e-bike scheme allocates specific certified models — you receive the assigned model for your gender category (black for male, pink for female). All models meet EDB certification standards and use LiFePO4 batteries. You cannot exchange or upgrade the model.
