It is a subsidised loan — not a free bike. You repay approximately Rs 3,000/month for 24 months (total ~Rs 72,000). The Punjab Government pays all markup (interest) — you pay only the principal. No down payment is required in the September 2026 phase.
What is the monthly installment for the Punjab e-bike scheme 2026?

What happens if I miss a monthly installment?

How does the Punjab e-bike scheme ballot work?

When will the Punjab e-bike ballot results be announced?

Can I check my ballot result online?

What if I am not selected in the ballot?
Your application stays in the PITB system for future phases — you do not need to reapply. You can also apply for PAVE Phase 2 (the federal scheme, Rs 80,000 subsidy, no ballot, first-come-first-served). Both options can be pursued simultaneously.

Visit your assigned Bank of Punjab branch within 14 days of the SMS notification. Bring all original documents: CNIC, enrolment certificate, learner's permit, approval letter. Sign the loan agreement. BOP will assign you a dealer and collection date. Collect the bike within the specified window. Attend 2-day training.

How long does it take to receive the bike after being selected?
CM Maryam Nawaz directed that approved applicants should receive their e-bike within six weeks of approval. The actual timeline: ballot result → BOP visit (14 days) → dealer assigned (1–2 weeks) → collection. Six weeks total is the target.
What kind of battery does the Punjab scheme e-bike have?
The September 2026 scheme bikes use LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. LiFePO4 is the safest EV battery chemistry — it does not catch fire or explode when damaged or overcharged. The exact range depends on the assigned model. Typical Punjab scheme e-bikes have a range of 60–80 km on a full charge under normal conditions (flat road, 70 kg rider, 25 km/h average). Real-world range in city traffic with stops and starts is typically 50–65 km. Carrying a heavy pillion passenger reduces range by 15–20%.
What is included free with the scheme e-bike?
Every scheme recipient receives: a full-face helmet, a rear safety rod, a 2-day riding safety course (mandatory), vehicle registration, and basic insurance — all at no cost. The Punjab government covers all of these in addition to the 0% markup on the loan.
Do female students get a different bike?
Yes — female students receive a pink-coloured e-bike while male students receive black. Both are the same model with identical specifications, LiFePO4 battery, same range, and same monthly installment. The colour difference is cosmetic only.
