What is CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme Phase 2?
Phase 2 of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's E-Bike Scheme distributes 100,000 electric scooties to eligible students across Punjab at heavily subsidised rates. The government provides PKR 90,000 subsidy per bike, pays all interest, covers insurance and registration, and students pay approximately Rs 3,027 per month for 3 years with zero down payment.
How many bikes are available in Phase 2?
100,000 electric scooties are available in Phase 2. If applications exceed this number, PITB runs a computerised ballot to select recipients.
What is the application deadline for Phase 2?
The application deadline for CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme Phase 2 is October 4, 2026. Apply before this date at bikes.punjab.gov.pk. Late applications will not be accepted.
Is Phase 2 different from Phase 1?

Who can apply for Phase 2
Who is eligible for Phase 2?
You must be: (1) a student enrolled at a public or private school, college, or university in Punjab, (2) at least 16 years old at the time of application, (3) holder of a valid driving licence, learner's permit, or juvenile driving permit, (4) having a parent or legal guardian available as guarantor with a valid CNIC, and (5) not having received a bike under Phase 1 or any other government scheme.
What is the minimum age for Phase 2?
The minimum age is 16 years at the time of application submission. Phase 1 required applicants to be 18 or older. Phase 2 specifically added the juvenile driving permit option to accommodate 16–17 year old students.
Can private school and college students apply for Phase 2?
Yes. Phase 2 is open to students from both public (government) and private educational institutions across Punjab — schools, colleges, and universities.
Can I apply if I already got a bike under Phase 1?
No. The scheme allows one bike per person. If you received a bike under Phase 1 of this scheme or any other government bike scheme, you are not eligible for Phase 2.
Do girls get any priority in the Phase 2 ballot?
Yes. A proportion of the 100,000 slots is reserved for female students and applicants from underserved or remote districts before the open computerised ballot runs for the remaining seats.

How to apply for Phase 2
How do I apply for Phase 2?
Apply online at bikes.punjab.gov.pk. Create an account using your guarantor's registered mobile number, fill in your CNIC, institution details, driving permit number, and guarantor's details, then submit. There is no fee and no agent required.
Is there any fee to apply?
No. Applying at bikes.punjab.gov.pk is completely free. Any person or agent asking for money to submit your application is a scam. Report them to the helpline at 042-99212260.
Can I apply offline or at a government office?
No. Phase 2 applications are only accepted online at bikes.punjab.gov.pk. There are no offline centres, no physical application forms, and no PITB offices collecting applications.
Can I apply on a mobile phone?
Yes. The portal is mobile-friendly. Open bikes.punjab.gov.pk in Chrome or Safari on your Android or iPhone and complete the application form.
What if I made a mistake in my application?
Once submitted, applications generally cannot be edited. If you made a serious error (wrong CNIC, wrong guarantor details), call the helpline immediately at 042-99212260. Submitting a second application is not recommended as duplicates are rejected.
Ballot & Results
Phase 2 ballot and result questions
How does the Phase 2 ballot work?
After the October 4 deadline, PITB verifies all applications and runs a transparent computerised ballot. Priority quotas are drawn first (female students, remote districts), then the remaining seats are filled by a random computerised draw. No one can influence the result.
When will Phase 2 ballot results be announced?
Ballot results are typically announced 2–4 weeks after the October 4, 2026 deadline. Results are sent via SMS to the guarantor's registered mobile number and are visible on bikes.punjab.gov.pk.
How do I check my ballot result?
Log in to bikes.punjab.gov.pk using your CNIC and Application ID. Your status will show as Selected or Not Selected. You also receive an SMS to your guarantor's mobile.
What if I am not selected in the ballot?
Your application remains in the PITB system for future rounds. You do not need to reapply. Consider also checking PAVE Phase 2 — the federal scheme with Rs 80,000 subsidy on a first-come-first-served basis (no ballot).
If selected, how long do I have to visit the Bank of Punjab?
Selected applicants must visit their assigned Bank of Punjab branch within 14 days of receiving the selection SMS or portal notification. Missing this deadline cancels the selection.

Tracking your Phase 2 application
How do I track my Phase 2 application?
Log in to bikes.punjab.gov.pk with your CNIC and Application ID. Your dashboard shows your current status: Submitted, Under Verification, Eligible, Selected, Not Selected, or Bike Collected.
I lost my Application ID — how do I get it?
Your Application ID was sent by SMS to your guarantor's mobile number when you applied. Check old messages on that phone. If not found, call 042-99212260 with your CNIC.
My status is 'Under Verification' for weeks — is that normal?
Yes. PITB verifies applications against NADRA (CNIC), institution records, and traffic police (driving permit). This process can take 1–4 weeks after the deadline. Do not reapply. If it has been over 6 weeks post-deadline, call 042-99212260.
Will I get an SMS when my status changes?
Yes. PITB automatically sends SMS updates to your guarantor's registered mobile number at each major stage: submission, verification, ballot result, and collection reminder.
Payment & Installments
Phase 2 payment, subsidy, and installment questions
What is the monthly payment for Phase 2?
Approximately Rs 3,027 per month for 36 months. This is based on PKR 109,000 financed (PKR 199,000 price minus PKR 90,000 government subsidy) divided over 3 years at 0% interest. The exact figure is confirmed in the loan agreement at Bank of Punjab.
Is there any down payment?
No. Zero down payment. The government covers the subsidy and all interest. The first installment is due 30 days after you collect the bike from the dealer.
Does Phase 2 charge any interest?
No interest is charged to students. The Punjab government pays the full bank markup on your behalf. You only repay the principal amount of PKR 109,000.
What else does the government cover in Phase 2?
In addition to the PKR 90,000 subsidy and 0% interest, the Punjab government also pays for: vehicle registration, first-year token tax, and comprehensive insurance for the bike.
Can I pay off the Phase 2 loan early?
Yes. You can make advance payments or repay the full balance at any Bank of Punjab branch at any time. There is no early repayment penalty.

What type of bike is given in Phase 2?
An electric scooty (e-scooter) with a 72V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery, 1000W BLDC motor, top speed of 50–55 km/h, LED headlamp, digital dashboard, and hydraulic suspension. Boys get Midnight Black and girls get Sakura Pink. A helmet and safety rods are included free.
What is the range of the Phase 2 e-bike on a single charge?
The 72V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery typically provides a range of 80–100 km per charge in normal riding conditions. Actual range depends on load, road type, and riding speed.
Is training mandatory after receiving the Phase 2 bike?
Yes. Selected students must attend a mandatory 2-day riding safety training programme organised by the Punjab government after collecting the bike. Failure to attend may affect warranty and support.
Where do I collect the Phase 2 bike from?
The Bank of Punjab assigns an authorised dealer after your loan agreement is signed. The dealer is typically in or near your district. You collect the bike from the assigned dealer within 6 weeks of signing the agreement.
